My book project is now live and available on blurb!
I initially just wanted to create a resource for myself that I could use to explain certain ideas to stylists and models. Then I thought, why not make it a book? I often have to explain things like wide shots vs close-ups, issues with clothes, shoes, and accessories when laying down vs standing up, etc. Now I’ll be able to explain many of these things using just one book.
Poses I
(black & white, 152 pages)
Poses I is a reference book for photographers, models, editors, art directors, and stylists to aid in the previsualization of fashion shoots. It contains more than 200 images illustrating a variety of standing, laying, sitting, crawling, and kneeling poses, with subtle differences in mood and gesture. By showing several variations of shot types, the book attempts to show the importance of framing and articulation of the body. The end goal is to provide the photographer and creative team with a selection of different shots that can serve as a starting point in preproduction discussions.I can’t wait to get this book by Red de Leon.
